EVENTS at Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge
(Psst... You can visit the refuge any day of the year, whether there's an event going on or not!)
This list of events on this web page is showing you the SPECIAL events out at the refuge, but you are welcome to visit on any day of the week, during daylight hours.
Even during the hours when the Conservation Learning Center and the Visitor Center are closed, you can still enjoy nature from the trails, the Photo Blind, the Arboretum, birdwatching from the Bird Blind, and fishing on the beautiful pier over the lake. It's all good!

Please Note: This list/calendar is maintained by volunteers, so some events may not be listed on this calendar, and/or some event may be canceled due to circumstances beyond our control. If you have questions about whether an event is actually going to be held, due to weather conditions, etc., it is always a good idea to call the Visitor Center (318-387-1114) to confirm. (But, hey, in the very unlikely event that you should ever come out to the refuge for a scheduled event, but find that the event has been cancelled - please do enjoy your time in nature anyway! The wildlife and beauty are always here.)
