The Louisiana Hunting and Fishing Day Flyer 2026!
Want to know where your kids can learn how to catch a big ol' bullfrog, pepper a target with BBs, or populate a lake and woodland habitat with wildlife? Black Bayou Lake NWR was the place on Saturday! If you missed it this year, be sure to come next year.
A great time was had by all at Louisiana National Hunting and Fishing Day 2026! The weather was sunny - it began cool and calm, later it warmed up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, thankfully we avoided the extreme heat of past weeks.
Many families enjoyed activities about the NELA portion of our Sportsman's Paradise that educated and entertained, while food trucks provided refreshing, delicious and nourishing fare! Kudos to all involved.
