Today's the day for outdoor fun at the refuge. Kids of all ages will enjoy seeing the animals, playing the games, eating good food, paddling on the bayou, and learning how important wildlife is.

This event is free to the public -- even the food!  The Friends of Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge give back to the community in many ways, and the Fall Festival is one of the most visible.  Enjoy the day today while there are a LOT of people, and come to visit again on another day, when you'll experience a quieter refuge, and hear lots of birds and animal sounds... and more..
