PLANTER'S HOUSE HISTORY
History of Friends of Black Bayou Lake NWRIn 2004, FoBB was named the top Refuge Friends Group in the country. And this was just the beginning!
The HouseFrom its original location on the lake, the house was moved to its current location, where volunteers worked tirelessly to create the beautiful building that now houses offices, a conference room and the Friends' Gift Shop. Read more history at the library inside the Visitor Center.
