Friends of Black Bayou Nature Store

Educational books, walking sticks, T-shirts, postcards, wildlife toys and much more! The items available change through stock refreshment, so please revisit the gift shop again and again, for lots of new gift ideas and education!

Located inside the Visitor Center, the Friends of Black Bayou Nature Store is a gift and souvenir shop with just the right mix of educational items and fun items, for kids and grownups. Shop Director Ann Smith stocks the store with appealing items that bring the goals and conservation of wildlife to the forefront of visitors' minds.
Thanks to our intern Jackson Cox, and FoBB volunteers, the Visitor Center and Conservation Learning Center will now be open:
Wednesdays
, Thursdays, Fridays 9 am - 4 pm, Saturdays 9 am - 1 pm
(possibly also later in the afternoon subject to volunteer availability)  and Sundays 1 pm -4 pm.
Among the educational displays, the visitor can meander through the dioramas, watch videos, explore the migrations of birds, and even step inside a hollow tree (be sure to look up when you are inside for the wildlife display there, too!).
You can pick up a free map of the trails and roads at Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge, and visit with the knowledgeable volunteers and staff while you're in there.

Next time you need a birthday gift for a kid
or anyone else, come see us!

FoBB volunteers have a little gift shop inside the Visitor Center, with wildlife, outdoor gifts, gear, and apparel for sale. All proceeds go toward wildlife and the refuge projects.
